Volunteering on the Work Site
The Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity has provided homeownership opportunities to over 70 families in the Erie area, including 4 in Union City, for more than 30 years. We’re excited to announce that construction on a new house is beginning!
Volunteers can sign up online. We’ll welcome a limited number of volunteers on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 7:45 am to 12 pm or 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Saturday volunteer opportunities will be available on the first Saturday of each month, also from 7:45 am to 12 pm or 12:00pm to 4:00pm, anyone can sign up with a maximum of 12 people per day and timeslot.
All volunteers must fill out a waiver and schedule before they can come out to the worksite.
To volunteer on a Habitat worksite, you must be at least 16 years old. No experience is necessary, as we provide all tools. Volunteers must complete a waiver, which can be accessed through the online sign-up form.
Once the waiver is filled out and you’ve reviewed the worksite guidelines, you can return it to the Habitat for Humanity office at 4922 Pittsburgh Avenue, Erie, PA, 16509.
After we receive your completed waiver, we’ll contact you by phone or email to confirm that your paperwork is processed and you’re eligible to schedule. Please note that if you arrive at the worksite without an appointment, you will not be able to stay.
