Allison Family
Jacob Allison is a single father of 3 from Sudan. He arrived in Erie in 1996 after one year in Maryland. His journey to Erie came via a Kenyan refugee camp. Jacob is currently employed at Plastek Industries.
All three of Jacob’s children were born in the United States. James who is 12 years old, the only boy, is in 6th grade Diehl Elementary. Senya is 11 years old and attends Burton Elementary along with her younger sister Nyoka who is 8 years old.
Jacob resided on Erie’s East Side where there have been multiple shootings. He came to Habitat for Humanity to become a homeowner and provide his children with a safe place to live. He is excited for his children to be able to play outside again. Jacob and his family are expected to move into their new home in early Fall 2011.
